Michael Buble has a secret acting past - he once appeared on an episode of The X-Files.
The Canadian crooner admits he jumped at the chance to earn a little cash when he was asked to play a sea-faring extra.
He tells Parade magazine, "It was a very small part. I was a sailor. I just needed the money. My singing career was non-existent at that point."
And he didn't have to dig too deep to find his sea legs - before his music career took off, Buble used to take to the sea with his fisherman father off the coast of Vancouver, British Columbia.
But it appears that Buble has no plans to return to acting as he has just released his Christmas album.
