Michael Buble has blamed auto tuning technology for ruining music.
He claimed that fans don’t want to hear completely flawless vocals and that voice-enhancing technology is taking away from performances.
The Canadian singer expressed that his hero, Frank Sinatra, didn’t always give a flawless performance but still managed to make an impression on his fans.
He told the Daily Telegraph, “We’ve been ruined by Auto-Tune. Our ears have become far more sensitive to pitch and to perfection. It’s weird. I can go and listen to my favourite Frank Sinatra records and he’s human: he’s not always on, he can be flat. But that was good because the performance was there…
“I remember seeing Neil Young doing his big charity song, and the producer said to him ‘You’re a little pitchy.’ And he went, ‘That’s my sound, man!’ That’s my sound!”
