Mia Farrow has taken advice from starvation expert David Blaine as she fasts to raise awareness of the plight of starving refugees in the Sudan.
Farrow is three days into her own starvation stunt and admits her mind is feeling "muddled and swimming".
But she is drawing strength from words of support from Blaine, who survived 44 days without food, while suspended in a perspex box above London, back in 2003.
Farrow writes on her blog, "Before I began this fast David Blaine (magician and endurance artist) called me. So kind of him.
"He told me a little about how to prepare and what to expect. He said after six days I won't feel hunger. He told me to drink four litres of water. Do you know how much water that is!"
Away from acting Farrow has a high profile as an advocate for raising money for children in conflict regions, especially Africa.
She is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and her starvation stunt is for Darfur to show solidarity with the country's people.
