Mel Gibson's ex, Oksana Grigorieva has appealed against the legal team representing Gibson in their ongoing custody battle over their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Lucia.
The Braveheart star, who chose legal firm Kolodny and Anteau, split from Grigorieva in 2010 and the pair have been in battle over the child ever since.
One of the partners in the firm represented the Russian singer, Grigorieva, when she was fighting for custody of her teenage son to James Bond actor, Timothy Dalton.
Although attorney, Anteau, is not directly involved in Gibson's court battle, she believes part of her previous custody fight could be held against her this time round.
In her court papers, Grigorieva states: "The matters discussed with Mr. Anteau concerned the same subject matter that has been inquired into the present cast by [Gibson's attorney] Stephen Kolodny, both in open court and at disposition."
She requested LA Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon to address the conflict in interests but he dismissed it as the singer had waited too long to raise the issue.
Gibson's ex then responded that she had only recently made the connection and is now requesting the California 2nd District Court of Appeal to step in.
The custody battle resumes in court later this month after the dispute has been settled.
