Matthew Broderick is nervous about becoming a dad to surrogate twins.
The actor appeared on America's The Late Show on Friday night (08May09) and addressed the story he and wife Sarah Jessica Parker are expecting twin daughters for the first time.
Broderick told host David Letterman, "I'm ready... (but) I'm nervous just even thinking about it.
"I've asked people, 'What's it like to have twins?' One father said, 'I don't recommend it,' but the rest have been very positive."
The 44-year-old star admits his six-year-old son James Wilkie is "pretty excited" and planning to shop for his unborn baby sisters' toys: "He said, 'We have to get a lot of princess toys.'"
They had tried to have more children after the birth of James but had been unsuccessful that they eventually turned to a surrogate.
The announcement that the couple are to extend their family comes just months after the couple's marriage was rocked by claimes that Matthew cheated on his wife.
