Melissa Dumas, Madonna's former nanny, will no longer be publishing a tell account of life with the Material Girl after Crown Publishing dropped the deal.The child carer worked for the Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie from 2005-2006, which included their controversial adoption of Malawian baby David Banda in October (06).The chapter summaries for the 80 page memoir included the state of the couples marriage,the behaviour of their children Lourdes, 10 and Rocco; the singer commitment to Kabbalah and the reasons why the star adopted the David along with pictures if the singer and her family.It was reported that the deal with Crown Publishing wwas worth up to $5 million (£2.6 million). Dumas' agent Sharlene Martin tells the New York Daily News, "I deeply regret that Crown decided not to move forward in publishing (the nanny's) book." Last year Madonna caused global controversy with her adoption of baby David, a boy from Malawi,when she was givn custody of the child during her two week stay in the country. Under Malawi law couples wanting to adopt must wait 18 months before they are given custody of a child. During Madonna's career she has always been the centre of controversy her video "Like A Prayer" caused outrage among the religious community when she burnt crosses and kissed a black Jesus.And similarly last year on her Confessions tour she appeared on stage strapped to a large cross.
