Lynda Carter, the original TV Wonder Woman, has given the new Diana Prince a big boost days after the first images of the new comic book superheroine appeared online - she can't wait to see the new series.
Adrianne Palicki will play the new Wonder Woman in an upcoming TV pilot created by writer/director David E. Kelley, and she has big boots to fill - Lynda Carter became an iconic figure when she first donned the famous outfit in the 1970s.
And now Carter has given the newcomer her blessing to take the character into the 21st century.
She tells Eonline.com, "I think she looks fabulous. It's a new look and, jeez, her body looks fantastic.
"I'm sure there will be people who say she looks better than me and like her better than me - and that's also fine.
"I want this story to be told again. I'm really excited. I can't wait to see it."
Carter reveals she has been in talks about a cameo on the new show.
She adds, "It's not out of the question. It would be great."
