Lou Pearlman has collected evidence against an accused murderer while he has been in prison and is now planning on using it against his former inmate. The shamed former boy band manager, who was the brains behind the likes of Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence after he was convicted of fraud earlier this year. But keen to keep busy whilst behind bars at Orange County Jail in Florida, Pearlman has been gathering evidence against another inmate - who is accused of murdering a police officer in October 2007.Pearlman gave a 28-minute interview to detectives, as well as notes and diagrams in relation to the case of 19-year-old Davin Smith. The evidence has been described as "very valuable and relevant" by prosecutors, and his contribution means he could now be called as a witness in Smith's trial, which is set for November.Last week, Pearlman was moved from Orange County Jail to a medium-security penitentiary in Atlanta, Georgia.
