Lindsay Lohan'S multi-million dollar lawsuit over an advert which allegedly used her name and parodied her life for profit has been branded "meritless" by company bosses.
The Mean Girls star filed suit against chiefs at financial firm E-Trade in March (10) over a commercial which depicts a baby girl called Lindsay as a boyfriend stealer and a "milkaholic".
Lohan's lawyers have accused advertising bosses of exploiting their client's famous first name and public persona without permission, insisting the use of the name Lindsay is a direct reference to Lohan.
The 23 year old is seeking $100 million (£66.7 million) in damages and compensation over the commercial.
But executives at E-Trade have filed a motion to have the case dismissed and called Lohan's claims "meritless", according to TMZ.com.

The reality TV star beat the likes of Britney Spears, Courtney Love and Candy Spelling on the list of shame, compiled by website HollyScoop.com.
Dina Lohan was named top of the crazies because she's "a total enabler for her easily-influenced daughter Lindsay, who is on yet another dangerous downward spiral of hard partying," according to the website.
'Octo-mum' Nadia Suleman came in second and Courtney Love finished third. Joan Rivers and former U.S. Vice-President candidate Sarah Palin also made the top five.
Mother's Day falls on Sunday (09May10) in America.
