Lindsay Lohan has defended her super-skinny figure - insisting she is not "starving" herself following her split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
Lohan's weight has plummeted in recent weeks and internet gossips have sparked fears the star is failing to eat properly following the break-up in March (09).
But the Mean Girls actress is adamant she is happy and healthy - and loves her new look.
She says, "I'm not starving myself, contrary to popular belief. I'm criticised when I'm too thin or too heavy. I like the way I look."
Lohan began dating Ronson in July 2008, despite Michael Lohan openly voicing his disapproval of their relationship.
Their relationship was volotile and the couple parted in April of this year after almost twelve months together.
Lohan personal issues has seen her very successful career nosedive her last movie I Know Who Killed Me was universally panned, she hasn't appeared on the big screen since.
