Lindsay Lohan has brushed off "weird" reports her on/off lover Samantha Ronson staged an intervention in a desperate bid to save the actress from meeting an untimely end.
The National Enquirer reported that Ronson was so terrified for the Hollywood wildchild's health, she recruited loved ones to confront the Mean Girls star about her alleged drug abuse.
The U.S. tabloid also speculated that Ronson had managed to convince the 23 year old to check into counselling sessions they would both attend.
But Lohan herself has dismissed the story as "weird" and "incorrect", telling GossipCop.com she just helped her DJ pal celebrate her 32nd birthday on Friday (07Aug09).
The star adds, "Sam, (Lohan's sister) Ali and I just landed back in L.A. Had a really great weekend in Chicago, celebrating Samantha's birthday with (members of Ronson's family and friends)."
