Leonardo DiCaprio insists on taking his mother on promotional trips around the globe, because he's a "mummy's boy" at heart.
The actor is currently at Germany's Berlin International Film Festival, where he's showcasing his latest movie Shutter Island, accompanied by family matriarch Irmelin Indenbirken and his on-off girlfriend Bar Refaeli.
And DiCaprio, 35, insists he's proud of his close relationship with his mother.
He says, "She just likes to come with me on occasions like this. And when I have the opportunity to take someone with me, I'll do her the favour.
"Especially Berlin - she's got relatives here and loves travelling through Europe. She loves taking part in my life.
"You can call me a mummy's boy, but I think it's cool to have her with me."
Shutter Island is the actor's fourth collaboration with Oscar winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese and is an adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel.
It's the first movie for teh pair since the Oscar success of The Departed, which went onto win Best Picture and Best Director.
Shutter Island is the first of two movies this year for DiCaprio with the release of Inception on the horizon.
