The Klaxons have
disappointing French fans by cancelling an appearance at a music festival after
he fractured his ankle.
The Golden Skans stars were due to perform at the Festival Les Vielles
Charrues in Brittany on Sunday (22Jul07), but Reynolds was ordered by local
doctors to rest due to his injury, which was caused when he jumped off the
stage at a gig in Angouleme, France on Saturday (21Jul07).
Posting on their website, the band writes, "At last night's Angouleme show
Jamie jumped off the stage and unfortunately fractured his ankle.
"He was keen to carry on and play tonight's show but doctors at the local hospital
insisted that he return to England and pin his ankle."This unfortunately means that the band will be unable to play tonight at the
Festival Les Vieilles Charrues in Brittany, France. "The band, and Jamie in particular, are gutted that they are missing the show and
will try and make it back soon." On Friday (20Jul07), the band 'cancelled' an appearance at a Spanish music
festival after adverse weather conditions in the U.K. grounded flights leaving
London - but managed to play a late night slot at Benicassim when their plane
finally arrived in the country three-and-a-half hours later than scheduled.
