Kirstie Alley’s home is under threat of repossession after the actress didn’t pay an outstanding tax bill, but the star’s publicist claims that they never received the bill in the first place.
The former Cheers star was due to pay $41,000 (£25,625) owed on her Clearwater mansion to tax officials in Pinellas County by 31st March.
The actress missed the deadline which resulted in her home being listed as “delinquent real estate tax” property.
Alley’s publicist denied ever receiving the bill, telling Associated Press, “We were not aware of the amount owed, and her accountant never received the bill.”
A spokesperson for the tax office how now confirmed that Alley’s representative will be sending over a cheque for the outstanding bill.
The actress bought the five bedroom, four bathroom house in 2008 for $1.73 million (£1.06 million) from Lisa Marie Presley.
