R&B star Keyshia Cole was so desperate to team up with Missy Elliot she took matters into her own hands and phoned up the music legend herself. Cole wanted the rapper to be one of the producers on her sophomore album Just Like You - but felt she needed to adopt a more personal approach to secure the hip-hop star's skills.The Give It Up To Me singer says, "I wanted her to be one of the producers on the album, so I just called her and she came through." Cole was signed to A&M Records in 2002. She released her debut album The Way It Is in 2005 which entered the U.S Billboard 200 at number six and went on to platinum status.The third song I Should Have Cheated from the debut album brought Cole the most success entering the charts at number four making her one of the biggest female R&B acts of 2005.Cole's second album Just Like You, which is to be released in September, features appearances from R.Kelly, John Legend and Nas.Let It Go, the first single, features Lil Kim and Missy Elliott.
