Jon Cryer has been ordered to pay his ex-wife $8,000 (£5,000)-a-month in child support.
The Two and a Half Men star has been battling ex Sarah Trigger over his child support obligations since the two divorced in 2004, and the actor recently insisted he shouldn't have to pay Trigger to look after their son Charlie Austin - since she only looks after the boy approximately four per cent of the time.
However on Monday (29Aug11), California Court of Appeals officials rejected Cryer's bid and ordered him to pay the hefty sum.
A court representative told TMZ.com, "Although, understandably, Jon may have found the situation unfair, the primary focus must remain on the child's well-being, not the parents' feelings."
The couple wed in 1997 and since the pair split, a family court has drastically reduced Trigger's custody rights after deeming her an unfit parent.
