Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is the number one film at the international box-office, after hauling in another $51.3 million (£25.7 million) worth of booty at the weekend. The second sequel's worldwide income outside of the U.S. now stands at $493.5 million (£246.8 million).Ocean's Thirteen made $28 million (£14 million) to jump straight in at two, while animated follow-up Shrek The Third is at three with $25 million (£12.5 million).In fifth place is Zodiac with $3.6 million (£1.8 million).Despite recieving poor reviews the latest installment of the Pirates franchise looks set to pick up where the previous two films left off in terms of box office success. Curse of the Black Pearl, the film that relaunched Johnny Depp and made Captain Jack Sparrow the biggest cinema icon in a decade, grossed $650m worldwide. Dead Man's Chest, released last year, went on to gross $1b worldwide and became the fastest selling DVD of all time when it was released a few months later.At World's End looks set to emulate this sucess as the film picks up where Dead Man's Chest left off with Johnny and co fighting both Davy Jones and The East India Company to protect the seas and the pirate way of life.
