Jesse James awarded sold custody of daughter
Jesse James has won sole custody of his seven-year-old daughter wit his ex-wife, adult film star Janine Lindemulder.
The couple, who split in 2004, have been involved in a long legal battle over sunny for many years and James was initially awarded custody in 2009 when Lindermulder was sent to prison on tax evasion charges.
She was put behind bars again in Austin this year for allegedly harassing the TV mechanic with threatening emails and voicemails, and now a judge in California has given James sole custody of the child.
James' lawyer, John Shilling tells People.com that the porn actress was told to enrol in inpatient rehab if she choose to move to Texas, where James now lives, if she wants to be closer to Sunny.
If she stays in California, she will only be allowed monitored visitation with her daughter.
Schilling says, "Jesse feels vindicated. This is what he's been claiming all along, that Janine needs therapy."
The happy news for James comes during the week he broke off his engagement to celebrity tattoo atrist Kat Von D on Tuesday.
He also has two children from his first marriage.
