Plans to hold all night parties has not gone down well with the neighbours of veteran Bond girl Jane Seymour and she is facing legal action. The actress has transformed historic St Catherine's Court near Bath, England, into a party venue, and hopes to hire out the stately home to revellers during the months she and producer husband James Keach are living abroad. The couple has lavished $700,000 (£350,000) on renovating the property since buying it in 1984, and it has become a recording base for a number of top British rock groups. But now Seymour is determined to turn her English home into a high society party palace, although obtaining a 24-hour alcohol and entertainment licence for the mansion has been met with opposition from people living nearby. Members of St Catherine's parish council insist revellers and delivery drivers are blocking lanes with traffic, and they're taking Seymour and Keach to court in a bid to overturn the license. The council's chairman Ian Plaister says, "Anger and frustration about the way in which the owners and management of St Catherine's Court have chosen to impose a commercial business on local people with no consultation and explicitly against their wishes leaves residents with no choice but legal action."
