Horror director Eli Roth has been signed up to write an episode of the new Heroes spin-off show Origins. Producers are establishing a star-studded list of Hollywood's top talent to take control of the much anticipated series, according to the Hollywood Reporter.Superman Returns co-writer Michael Dougherty is also expected to be handed an episode to write. The show will launch in the US next year and introduce a new set of superheroes, who viewers will be able to vote onto the cast of Heroes.Heroes has become the most talked about television show about normal people discovering that they have extraordinary powers including time travel, regeneration, ability to fly.When the series premiered on NBC in September 2006 it attracted 14.3 million viewers, the highest rating drama for NBC in five years.The second series of the hit show will contain twenty four episodes and the spin off Origions will contain just six.
