The New York restaurant Heath Ledger invested in before his untimely death in January will pay tribute to the tragic star in the form of a chess board.Brightside owner Jud Mongell, who was Ledger's business partner, has engraved a chess board into what will be known as Heath's table - so that fellow players can sit and muse.Mongell tells Life & Style magazine, "Heath was a big chess player. The whole idea was to make it a spot for us. We wanted to make it our own space to hang out."The restaurateur admits opening the Brooklyn diner later this summer will be bittersweet - because his pal won't be there to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.Monge adds, "Heath was very, very into it. He drew the floor plans and thought of the name, BrightSide, because it's on the bright side of McCarren Park."
