Gwen Stefani has told of how she is struggling to be a celebrity mum and a rock star, because her children have meant she cant just hit the studio without a care in the world.
The No Doubt singer has admitted to not realising how difficult her life would be when she returned to work at the studio with her band in 2008, and it didnt help her bad case of writers block.
She tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "My day consists of waking up with babies, and then working out, my clothing lines, and picking them up from school, and then rolling into the studio at 4.30 - and you only have a few hours before you have to be up with the kids again. And I can't do it five days a week. I have to be home with them for dinner."
Stefani also spoke about how touring is different now she has her sons Kingston and Zuma with her.
She adds, "All of a sudden, these other humans joined in, little tiny ones that are really demanding. It's challenging, especially for me because I'm the mom. They're (bandmates) just the dads... They have their wives with them. I don't have my wife with me."
But there is one big perk: "I would sleep the whole tour and just wake up to do the show. But you take (the kids) places on the days off. We've seen, like, every museum in every city of the world."
