Gordon Ramsay is set to go to court over claims he caused an events company to lose $1.8 million (£1.1 million).
The fiery Scottish cook called off a charity event in New Zealand last year (10), citing family problems. He subsequently cancelled two other charity dates in the country.
However, organisers at Duco Events are suing the Hell's Kitchen star for lost earnings and damage to the firm's reputation after selling 2,000 tickets in the hope of raising money to pay the medical bills of an ailing New Zealand child.
A spokesperson for Ramsay, who has been hit with a slew of lawsuits since last year (10) over alleged unpaid bills, said at the time that he would make a donation to the charity.
The case will go before the High Court in Auckland, New Zealand in August next year (12).
