Goldie Hawn avoids bouts of depression by concentrating on 'beautiful things that stimulate' her soul.
The star has previously admitted that she endured nine years of therapy after suffering from panic attacks due to the pressures of fame when she first moved to Hollywood.
Hawn has now learned to recognise the signs of depression and even knows how to combat them.
She tells talkshow host Piers Morgan: ""I realised all these various ways and means to get better.
"(Now) I wouldn't call it depression - I think I can get into periods of being low, where you think about things and sometimes sit and feel dull, but because I have this capacity... I kind of know what to do, so when I'm feeling low or having these feelings I do the opposite.
"I feed myself with all the beautiful things that stimulate my mind and heart and soul to create an elevated feeling."
