Exhibit Marks 30th Star Wars Anniversary.... A massive exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of the George Lucas film series Star Wars is hitting London this year (07).The display, which opens on 5 May (07) at the County Hall near Westminster, contains £1 million ($1.95 million) worth of memorabilia from the six-film sci fi saga, including a variety of costumes, props and spaceships.Event promoter Jonathan Sands, says, "The producer George Lucas has said England is the spiritual home of Star Wars, and we expect 100,000 people per month to visit the exhibition."The event is scheduled to run until September (07) although organisers suspect it could go on for longer.Meanwhile in other news Star Wars has been beaten to the top of a new list of the UK's favourite science fiction films, by little known cult movie Serenity.The 2005 film, which was created and directed by Joss Whedon and starred Adam Baldwin and Chiwetel Ejiofor, left George Lucas' all time classic in second place.Blade Runner came third, Planet Of The Apes fourth and The Matrix fifth, in the poll of readers of magazine Sfx.
