Gary Dourdan has been officially charged with drug possession.
Los Angeles police took the actor into custody after they thought they'd found ecstasy pills in the star's possession while investigating a car crash involving Dourdan on 13 June (11).
The cops later correctly identified the drugs as Oxycontin and Dourdan has now been officially charged for possession of drug paraphernalia and the prescription painkiller, according to TMZ.com.
If the star is convicted on both charges, he could face up to a year in jail.
Dourdan was previously arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and ecstasy in 2008 but the felony charges were dropped after he completed a 16-class drug programme.
