British designer, Gareth Pugh, is set to create a make-up line with MAC, due to hit shops in November.
Pugh's designs are more often that not based on appearance, rather than practicality so it is little surprise that the make-up is to have 'special packaging'.
The palette is to focus on black and grey colouring with perhaps a few flashes of bright colour, resembling that of his S/S '10 and A/W '11 collections.
Pugh admitted: "The two need each other, business and creativity. It’s a weird mix but you need to have that balance, I think, now.
Or I need to have that balance now, so I’ve made my peace with that."
The new make-up line is to be unveiled in New York next month while the products will be seen in his spring/summer ‘12 show in Paris this October.
Perhaps this seasons look will be more commercial than ever.
