Farrah Fawcett's ex-husband Lee Majors has joined the long list of celebrities paying tribute to the actress, who lost her battle with anal cancer on Thursday morning (25Jun09).
Plans were being made for Fawcett to marry longtime companion Ryan O'Neal before her death - but reports suggest the nuptials never took place because the actress was too ill.
Majors, who was married to the Charlie's Angels star from 1973 to 1982, says he and his wife Faith are "saddened" by Farrah's passing.
The couple met on the set of The Six Million Dollar Man back in the early seventies.
He adds, "She was an angel on earth and now an angel forever."
Tributes have been pouring in since the news of Fawcett's death was confirmed. O'Neal and the actress' close friend Alana Stewart have paid their respects, as have the star's former Charlie's Angels co-stars Jaclyn Smith and John Forsythe.
The actress was diagnosed with anal cancer back in 2006 and after chemotherapy and surgery she was clear of cancer.
But the disease returned just months later.
