She suffered from a stammer when she was very young.But she's pleased she finally managed to overcome the problem. She says, "I had a stammer, which was hard, but I used to act in school plays to help me escape from what I saw as a disabling difficulty. "Really, I think I retreated into myself a bit as not to stand out."
