Eliza Dushku is asking fans to forgo sending her gifts to mark her upcoming birthday and donate to charity instead.
The Bring it On star turns 31 on 30 December (11) and she's keen to raise as much money as possible for Uganda's THARCE-Gulu (Trauma Healing and Reflection Center) organisation, which helps victims of war.
And, in return for charitable donations from fans, Dushku is offering one lucky devotee the chance to win a one-to-one video chat with the birthday girl herself.
In a post on her fundraising page, Dushku writes, "LOVELIES!! It's that WONDERFUL time of year again... MY BIRTHDAY arrives on December 30, and I'll be 18 again..! Ok, maybe not.
"However, I DO still have a birthday WISH: that in lieu of gifts this year, you, my beautiful & generous friends donate to THARCE-GULU, our beloved organization in Northern Uganda that provides Trauma Healing and Reflection for former child soldiers and victims of war.
"We have done INCREDIBLE work since last year & I'll continue to update you with videos from our travels/cause! THANK YOU, I appreciate, value & adore each and every last one of you.. Cheers & Happy Holidays!!"
Last year (10), Dushku raised $30,000 (£18,750) for the charity to mark her 30th birthday.
