Robert Downey JR. and Jude Law bonded during late-night boozing sessions at director Guy Ritchie’s London pub.
The Iron Man star plays the supersleuth in the new adaptation, with Law playing his faithful sidekick Dr. Watson
Ritchie was determined to make the actors palls off-set so he took them both to his bar the Punch Bowl in Mayfair London, so they could get to know each other.
He says, "I love the guys. Rudy (Downey Jr.), Judy (Law) and I had a lot of late nights in the pub. Lock-ins are illegal, so we never did any of those.
Adding: "We had a couple of pub excursions and were all in unison on how this was going to turn out."
Sherlock Holmes will hit cinemas on Boxing Day and is set to be a big hit.
