Dick Van Dyke drove Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for the last time on Wednesday before the car goes up for auction this weekend.
The Profiles in History movie and music memorabilia auction will be held in Beverly Hills from the 14-15 May, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will be one of the pieces at auction.
Van Dyke was one of the last people to drive the iconic movie car after first getting behind the wheel in the 1968 film. He took charge of the motor for the last time on the Jay Leno late night chat show in America.
The car is expected to go for around $2 million (£1.25 million) at the auction and is still fully road worthy.
Other items for sale at the auction will include John Lennon's handwritten lyrics for Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, the Wicked Witch of the West's Crystal Ball from The Wizard of Oz and the original Discovery space suit chest pack from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
