Denzel Washington's son J.D. has spent the summer (07) perfecting his footballing skills with NFL Europa team the Hamburg Sea Devils. The 23-year-old running back was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in May 2006 but later released.He has been developing his skills in Germany and now says, "I'm hoping to go back and stick with the Rams." Denzel married his wife, actress Pauletta Pearson, in 1983. The couple had met on the set of movie Wilma. The couple have four children John David aka JD, Katia, and twins Olivia and Malcolm.Washington became only the second African American to win an Oscar when he picked up the award for Best Actor in 2001 for his role in Training Day. He followed in the footsteps of Sydney Poitie, who was at the Oscar ceremony that evening.
