Denise says that Simon is hot though
Denise Richards has laughed off Simon Cowell's suggestion that the pair had once went on a date.
The actress insists that their one-time meeting was at a group dinner.
The music mogul made the claim during an appearance on US shock jock Howard Stern's Sirius XM Radio show earlier this week.
He shared information about what he claimed was their 'bizarre kind of blind date' which took place in Beverly Hills with a then-pregnant Richards, shortly after she split from husband Charlie Sheen.
He told Stern: "She's cute... She turned up eight months pregnant and had a dog in her handbag... (but) she is gorgeous. I liked her a lot... She's funny, a bit of a wacko... but I like that."
But the 'date' came as news to the former Bond girl who says that their dinner was among mutual friends and was not romantic.
She took to her Twitter page to dispel the rumours, writing: "I was at a group dinner, eight months pregnant. Not sure how that's considered a date! If I was being set up, I didn't know it!"
But maybe now the actress is single, she adds: "I wish I knew that it was a date! He's a hot piece of a**!" It's a shame that Cowell is currently engaged to make-up srtist Mezhgan Hussainy.
The actress later gave birth to Lola, now six who is her second child with Sheen.
