U.S. funnyman Dave Chappelle is reportedly suffering from exhaustion and was taken
into hospital at the weekend (14-15Jul07).
The comedian, 33, was rushed to the emergency room of an unnamed hospital,
where he remained for 12 hours before returning home.Earlier reports suggested Chapelle had suffered a drug-related medical
problem and had checked into rehab, which his spokesperson has denied.
His rep tells TMZ.com Chappelle was diagnosed with "physical exhaustion" and
received "food, water and sleep" at hospital. The comedian and actor became popular in 2003 when he began his own weekly sketch
show Chappelle's Show, which parodied and made fun of many aspects of American culture.The DVD which accompanied the show is the best selling DVD of a TV show, selling over
three million copies, overtaking the previous best seller The Simpsons.The show earned Chappelle to Emmy nominations.
