Daniel Baldwin: 'Stars Only Clean Up Insurance Records In Rehab'....
Recovering drug addict Daniel Baldwin has accused Hollywood's troubled youngsters of using rehabs to simply boost their insurance potential. Many stars are forced to pay for their own expensive movie insurance after news of substance abuse gets out - and Baldwin, who is committed to getting sober for good after nine rehab stints - fears some stars check-in in a bid to convince brokers to support them on film sets.Baldwin says, "It seems like a lot of celebrities that go to these places go in because they're trying to put a Band-Aid on a bullet wound... It's a PR thing in a lot of ways."There have been celebrities in the past that have gone into these facilities in order to stop uninsurable titles being tacked on their heads".The Mulholland Falls star insists young celebrities should be forced into a sober living environment after completing rehab, if they're serious about cleaning up."The most formative years of your childhood are one through 12 - when you learn the most stuff... Could you imagine letting someone at 12 years old, go out to the street... No, they acclimatise slowly to the world."The same is to be said for sobriety - in 30 days, even in a 90-day model, you're gonna send these people back out to the street? It's not a good program. They need to go into some type of sober living. They need to make that transition slowly so that they can go to work, come back and be around other sober people".
