Clarice Taylor, star of The Crosby Show and Sesame Street, has died of heart failure at the age of 93.
Her representative confirmed to People.com that the star passed away on Monday.
The actress starred in many shows including Tell Me That You Love Me, The Wiz and Junie Moon. She was also nominated for an Emmy Award in 1986 for her role as Anna Huxtable on The Crosby Show.
She was the co-founder of Harlem’s American Negro Theatre in New York and also enjoyed success on the stage. She portrayed civil rights comedienne Moms Mabley in two hit plays, for which she won acclaim.
Taylor retired from acting in 2009.
