Charlie Sheen will serve 30 days behind bars for his Christmas Day (25Dec10) attack on his wife after reaching a plea deal with Colorado prosecutors.
The actor spent part of Christmas Day in an Aspen jail after a fight with Brooke Mueller at the couple's ski retreat.
And now TMZ.com reports Sheen will plead no contest to misdemeanour assault and serve 30 more days in jail.
He will enter a no contest plea to third degree assault and begin serving time on Monday (07Jun10). A felony menacing charge against the actor will be dismissed.
Sheen is expected to serve 17 days. He will also be required to complete 36 hours of anger management classes.
However actress Marley Shelton has escaped jail time stemming from her arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) after striking a plea deal with prosecutors.
The Sin City star faced up to six months behind bars and a $1,000 (£670) fine if convicted on two counts of DUI following her arrest in April (10) in Hollywood.
But Shelton has agreed to plead no contest to a count of speed exhibition in exchange for having the two DUI charges dismissed.
Her lawyer, Trent Copeland, tells TMZ.com she will also pay a $240 (£160) penalty and be placed on 24 months informal probation.
