Cate Blanchett Compares Elizabeth I To Diana....

Actress Cate Blanchett has likened British royal Queen Elizabeth I to the late Diana, Princess Of Wales.The Oscar winner portrays the 16th century queen in new movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and she believes the two women shared similar fragilities in their personal lives.Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada on Wednesday (12Sep07), she says, "In a way, Elizabeth was a bit like Princess Diana, as she clung to her public when there was no one to cling to in her private life".
