Britney Spears Hit-and-run Charges Dismissed....
Britney Spears has escaped a misdemeanour hit-and-run charge, after it was dismissed in a California court. The star allegedly smashed into a parked car in a private parking lot in the San Fernando Valley on 6 August (07) in Los Angeles while driving without a valid licence.Earlier this month (Oct07), Spears impressed the vehicle's owner Kim Robard-Rifkin by offering a personal apology and $1,000 (£500) in compensation - which caused the charges to be dismissed in a Van Nuys court.Spears' lawyer J. Michael Flanagan says Robard-Rifkin "is very sympathetic toward Britney and hopes the best for her".But it's not the end of legal troubles for the troubled star - Spears has been ordered to appear in court on 26 November (07) over the charges of driving without a valid California driver's licence.According to Flanagan, L.A. City Attorneys plan to seek a probation term and fine against the singer.Meanwhile the troubled singer Britney Spears has denied reports she is to make a cameo appearance on children's TV show Sesame Street.
Spears, 26, was rumoured to have agreed to appear on the show - a move which would see her sing a clean version of her hit track Toxic on the kids' series.
But a spokeswoman for Sesame Street has the dismissed reports.
She says,"There are no plans to have Britney on the show. We are not even in production right now".
