Betty White has celebrated her 89th birthday in style on Tuesday when her Hot in Cleveland castmates threw her a party in New York.

The Golden Girls star reached the mileston age on Monday and to mark her last year as an octogenarian, actresses Jane Leeves, Valerie Bertinelli and Wendie Malick got together to put on the bash at the Big Apple's La Cirque restaurant.

She was also presented with a large cake from everyone at US channel TV Land and she joked as she blew out the candles: "I had a chance and I blew it".

Justin Bieber also filmed a special birthday song for White. She also celebrated the special day by drinking vodka with TV host David Letterman.

The funnyman pulled out sme booze and poured her a glass while he swigged from the bottle.
