Baywatch babe recovering from deadly MRSA virus
Former Baywatch star Donna D'errico's representative has played down reports that she has fallen seriously ill with the deadly MRSA virus, insisting she is 'doing fine.'
The actress was hospitalised in LA earlier this week after contracting the infection from a sick relative. She has sparked fears for her health after she made her illness known on Facebook on Tuesday.
The post read: "Prayer request - this time for me - a serious medical issue has arisen. Thank you for any and all prayers."
Her spokesperson has assured fans she is responding well to treatment and is already on the road to good health and recovery.
The rep told Eonline.com: "She's doing fine. She'll be out (of the hospital) tomorrow (17Dec10). She's just staying for now as a precautionary measure.
"It is an unfortunate situation but she's recuperating well and looks great."
