B.D. Wong leaves Law & Order for another show
B.D Wong has quiye the TV cop drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, to play a psychiatrist on a new series.
Wong, who has played Dr George Huang on the spin off for the past 11 years took to twitter over the weekend to announce his departure from the show.
He writes: "I actually do not return for season 13 of @nbcsvu #SVU! i am jumping to @nbcAwake #Awake!"
The news comes less than a month after actor Christopher Meloni announced he too was leaving the show after 12 years on the programme.
Like Meloni, Wong appears to be leaving amicably, telling fans: "It was amazing to have such a cool job for 11 years and to be a real NY Actor."
