Ashton Kutcher made good on his promise to prank CNN boss Ted Turner on Wednesday (13May09) by staging a demonstration outside the media mogul's Atlanta, Georgia headquarters.

Kutcher challenged CNN to a 'Tweet-off' last month (Apr09) - to see if he could beat the news network to one million Twitter.com followers.

The actor won the battle and threatened to "punk" Turner as part of his celebrations.

On Wednesday night, the Dude, Where's My Car star, his wife Demi Moore and more than 100 fans and friends unfurled a huge banner featuring Kutcher's Twitter.com name 'aplusk' over CNN's neon sign at the company's base.

Kutcher told reporters, "I’m just fulfilling a promise I made."

Earlier on Wednesday, Kutcher and his crew of pranksters stacked up boxes of Ding Dongs outside Turner's restaurant Ted's Montana Grill.

As part of his Twitter challenge win, Kutcher agreed to donate 10,000 mosquito bed nets to charity for World Malaria Day and he promised to "ding-dong-ditch" Turner - a plan which quickly fell apart.

The actor explains, "Ted doesn’t really have an accessible home, and Ted doesn’t really have an accessible doorbell."
