Sad news this Monday morning folks, as we report that the lovely Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes have lost their unborn baby boy.
The couple confirmed the sad news over the weekend after being rushed into hospital last Tuesday after realising the baby wasn't moving. Sadly, despite attempts by medical staff, the little boy couldn't be saved.
Amanda’s Spokeswoman, Alison Griffin confirmed the news, saying the couple are “utterly devastated”. She also expressed, “Amanda had been closely monitored throughout her pregnancy and it is not yet known what went wrong”.
“Both Chris and Amanda would like to thank the midwives and staff at The Queen Mary Maternity unit at West Middlesex Hospital Isleworth for their tremendous support.”
The couple had only announced her pregnancy over Twitter last month, and it was
Piers Morgan who announced the tragic news on the social networking site writing; “So desperately sad for my special friend @Amanda_Holden – sending her and Chris my love and prayers at this horrible time”.
In the wake of the news, a handful of stars have Twittered their condolences James Corden, Emma Bunton, Davina McCall and Lorraine Kelly.
