Amanda Bynes has denied reports she is dating Kid Cudi, insisting the pair is "just friends".
The Hairspray star has been cosying up to the Day 'n' Nite hitmaker in recent weeks, according to the New York Daily News.
The publication claims Bynes is not ready to go public with the relationship yet - despite the
singer bragging to pals last week (15Sep09) that he is dating the 23 year old.
But the actress' representative has dismissed the claims, insisting Bynes is "just friends" with the rapper.
Bynes has previously dated Paris Hilton's on-off boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt.
Bynes began her acting career in TV appearing on shows such as All That and The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon.
She made the tranistion into movies with She's The Man but her big breakthrough movie came in 2007 when she starred in musical Hairspray.
