Alan Fletcher has thrown his support behind a campaign to promote cancer awareness in men.
Fletcher, who has played local doctor Karl Kennedy in hit Aussie soap Neighbors since 1994, has taken part in a photoshoot with his face smeared with paint to promote the Blue September crusade.
He tells U.K. TV show This Morning, "It's a fantastic awareness campaign. It's basically saying to men, 'Come on, it's better to go and get checked, do all the checks, be aware of your cancer risks.'
“And of course, it's talking to women as well, saying, 'Give your husband a nudge, give your son a nudge'."
