American sit-com 30 ROCK has been nominated for a trio of accolades for the 2011 Writers Guild Awards.
The hit show starring Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey will compete with Modern Family, Glee, Nurse Jackie and The Office for the Best Comedy Series title as well as two mentions in the comedy episode category.
Martin Scorsese's Broadwalk Empire has scored critical acclaim nominations for New Series and Drama Series and will go head-to-head with Men Men, Dexter, Friday Night Lights and Breaking Bad - another triple nominee alongside Modern Family.
Shortlists for the feature and documentary film catergories will be unveiled on 4 Janueary 2011.
The winners of the 2011 Writers Guild Awards will be unveiled at dual ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles on 5 February 2011.
