Song for Marion is a heart-warming story about the celebration of life and learning to live in the moment. It follows shy, grumpy pensioner Arthur as he is reluctantly inspired by his beloved wife Marion to join a local seniors choir.
Already at odds with his son James, Arthur’s life takes a turn for the worst and he finds himself with nothing left to sing about.
It is left to charismatic choir director Elizabeth to try and persuade Arthur that he can learn to embrace life once again.
The choir’s songbook ranges from selections such as ‘You are the sunshine of my Life’ to unconventional classics including Motorhead’s ‘Ace of Spades’ and ‘Let’s talk about sex!’
