In the second season of the show, the Girls are well and truly back. Disappointed at work, recently single Marnie needs the support of her best friend and former roommate, yet the distance between them seems greater than ever.
Jessa returns from her honeymoon, ready to plant new ideas in Hannah’s head. Newly experienced Shoshanna struggles to navigate the challenges of a shaky relationship with Ray as she continues to find herself.
Season Two of this cultural phenomenon sees Lena Dunham experimenting with her craft and in turn the show’s characters - we are taken further into Jessa and Marnie’s family life, along with following Adam on his journey post-Hannah where he tries to move on and find a love of his own; but will that last?
The stress of Hannah’s e-book deal looms over her as she tries to cope by experimenting with crack cocaine - with interesting consequences. Marnie finds herself back in the arms of Jonathan Booth and his art-installation torture devises, but will she change her mind when ex-boyfriend Charlie comes back into the picture?
Guest stars on the second season of GIRLS include Donald Glover (30 Rock) as Sandy, Rita Wilson (The Good Wife, Sleepless in Seattle) as Marnie’s mother, plus Rosanna Arquette (The L Word, Pulp Fiction) as Jessa’s step-mother and Patrick Wilson (Prometheus, A Gifted Man).
